Today, Dynamo Sports Center Miami athletes had a productive training session, focusing on technical development. The training program included the following techniques: de-ashi-barai, osoto-gari, inside leg sweep, uchi-gari, and the hip throw (o-goshi).

The children were taught these techniques by renowned judoka Artur Tsysar. The technical execution of judo techniques includes several mandatory stages. The first stage is disturbing the opponent’s balance. This requires proper foot placement and creating a directional shift in the opponent’s center of gravity. Next comes a torso twist or leg sweep, depending on the specific technique. After this, the key element is maintaining control over the opponent during the throw: the athlete must firmly pull the opponent toward them or clearly direct the movement in the intended direction.

The final stage of any throw is maintaining control after the technique is completed. Practicing these techniques is essential for developing strong sweeping and throwing skills, as well as successfully passing the qualifying tests for the next belt. The next certification is coming soon, so it’s especially important for athletes to demonstrate a high level of technical mastery.
